Story Group is a leading multi-disciplinary company based in the north west of England specialising in building and civil engineering, rail infrastructure services, private house building and strategic land acquisition/development. Story Group offers a fully integrated service, providing innovative solutions to meet clients' needs and promoting a strong culture of 'saying what we do and doing what we say'. Business requirement

Managing three satellite offices, multiple major construction contracts and an extensive network of engineers, quantity surveyors and estimators; it was necessary for Story Group to streamline their data management system and increase accessibility to information across the firm. Microsoft SharePoint was implemented, and shortly after a solution was sought that would allow users to move emails from their Outlook inboxes to SharePoint libraries.

We trialled a number of products during the evaluation stage with the drag and drop functionality a priority. When we installed the evaluation licence for OnePlaceMail it just did everything we wanted from the word go and provided additional benefits that have proved to be essential to our operations.

Working with Scinaptic

Story Group have planned for up to 200 OnePlaceMail users within the next few months on the back of the SharePoint adoption and success of the OnePlaceMail integration. OnePlaceMail and its ability to move large quantities of data from Outlook has been stretched to its maximum by staff and fully embraced.

The functionality of OnePlaceMail—searching, creating categories and its ability to capture metadata has enhanced the effectiveness of SharePoint.

Improved customer service through increased knowledge transfer between staff has already been quantified.
