OnePlaceMail plays a vital role in projects email management whether using standard "out of the box" functionality or extending SharePoint with more sophisticated Project Management functionality provided by third party vendors.
Email has become the predominant communications mechanism and is heavily used throughout the lifecycle of a project. OnePlaceMail provides seamless connectivity to Microsoft SharePoint, enabling Outlook to SharePoint drag and drop of emails and attachments to Microsoft SharePoint.

Enterprise deployment of SharePoint libraries within Outlook
OnePlaceMail's mechanism to centrally deploy libraries and define upload process to one or more users throughout the organisation, helps organisations centralise information assets and increase project visibility.
The 'config_update' process is an XML file (documented in detail as part of the Administration Guide, included in the OnePlaceMail download) with instructions for applying one or more configuration options and destination libraries/lists.
The 'My OnePlaceMail' (this can be renamed) on the left hand side of Microsoft Outlook contains a folder structure and Microsoft SharePoint library/list destination that is relevant to the current user. The user is not bound or dictated by the Microsoft SharePoint technical hierarchy. Microsoft SharePoint destinations are also available when filing from the File Explorer and other Office application such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
