A key business imperative was identified by Gurit in mid 2007 concerning electronic management of their Technology department’s project engineering information and real-time sharing of files and data globally. Gurit required the centralisation of information which was coming into the organisation via individual project staff email inboxes. It was critical from both a productivity and risk management viewpoint that a technology based system be integrated to facilitate this shift in organisational project management.
Working with Scinaptic
Scinaptic’s Correspondence & Document Management System (CDMS) was implemented across Gurit’s Australian, United Kingdom and US/Canadian operations with customisations of the solution and training provided.
The Scinaptic CDMS solution has enabled teams of people working on large engineering and technology projects to share correspondence and documents within a central repository on a Lotus Notes base.
Scinaptic Communications have been working with Gurit for 2 years and have been an integral part of the organisations move to global accessing of information and improved collaboration across projects, with staff and resource sharing taking place irrespective of their origin.

Gurit project managed the CDMS integration across its global offices from their Australian base. Gurit’s Lotus Notes Administrator in Canada has highly praised Scinaptic for its technical excellence in developing the CDMS product - ‘in the IBM way of doing things’.
