Mixed environments / Enterprise ready

OnePlaceMail supports mixed client and SharePoint environments.  Therefore, you can run a mixed SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 environment as you migrate your SharePoint infrastructure. You can also use OnePlaceMail on Outlook/Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 and take full advantage of SharePoint 2010.  

The following mixed environments are supported:

• Microsoft SharePoint – MOSS 2007/WSS 3.0
• Microsoft SharePoint 2010/Foundation Server
• Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) 2003, 2007, 2010
• Windows File Explorer Windows XP, Vista, window 7
• 32 and 64 bit clients operating systems
• 32 and 64 bit Client applications
• Terminal Services/Citrix environments (with the ability to have some users with/other without OnePlaceMail)

Installation and deployment

OnePlaceMail is an Outlook Add-in and easily installed using the .msi file provided in your download. Through Group Policies or using a preferred enterprise software deployment tool, OnePlaceMail can be deployed throughout the organisation. 

The OnePlaceMail download provides comprehensive documentation for deploying OnePlaceMail using Group Policies, defining and deploying OnePlaceMail configuration options and instructions on how you can deploy SharePoint filing locations to Microsoft Outlook, File Explorer and Microsoft Office for making it easy to save files to SharePoint.

OnePlaceMail provides a single licence key and facility to centrally manage your user licences across the SharePoint environment.  Therefore, making licence administration a simple task. 

The Implementation and Administration guides available in the OnePlaceMail download package and provide detailed installation instructions.

SharePoint solution

OnePlaceMail works within your existing SharePoint 2007 and 2010 environments.  Taking advantage of any configuration and development effort you invest in designing your SharePoint solutions.

To assist with your evaluation and/or implementation of OnePlaceMail, a SharePoint solution is provided as part of the installation. The Solution and included features provide email attribute columns, email content type, email library and an example SharePoint site.
